"Once the SpeedoHealer is mounted and you have the magic SH Calibration Value in hand, you're ready to finish the installation by configuring the device. The supplied instructions aren't bad on this point, but be sure to read them through at least once so you're not left scratching your head. I didn't, and after a few minutes of head scratching decided to RTFM (read the f...ing manual). A quick test with the GPS revealed that yes indeed the SpeedoHealer had worked its magic - 100km/hr indicated = 100km/hr on the GPS.

Since the installation was so very straight forward and also somewhat anti-climactic, just for fun I tested the top speed memory function (the unit remembers the top speed you reach and is able to display the value on your speedometer when you get back home) and the kilometer/mile conversion function. Both are easy to activate and potentially useful but I can't see myself using them very often. Still, nice additions to the core functionality."

"The Speedo-Healer is an electronic device, which enables you to calibrate your bike's (non cable-driven) speedometer and odometer to show accurate information. The manufacturer's claim it is able to eliminate in-built factory inaccuracy (which can be as much as 10%), adjust for changes in tire sizes/profiles and gear ratio (sprocket conversions), bypass the in-built factory speed limiter and easily convert Km to miles (or vice-versa).

Electrical installation seems straightforward (it plugs in between the wheel sensor and the speedo) although a certain amount of jiggery-pokery is required to calibrate the device. Certain brands also need to be hard-wired with a universal loom (supplied) but others are purely plug-in."
